The German battleship "Deutschland" visited some of the western Norwegian fjords during the days between 10th-14th april 1934. The ship was later, january 25th 1940, renamed to "Lützow" to reduce the propaganda damage if a ship named "Deutschland" would be sunken by the enemy. July 22nd 1947 the ship was sunken at 113m water depth in the Danziger Bucht (bay) outside Germany. Below you can see pictures from the ship Deutschland's visit in the fjords.
