| Bergen - Sognefjord - Fjærlandsfjord - Nærøyfjord |

 Take the expressboat from Bergen to Balestrand in Sognefjord. On this boattrip you will experience the fantastic archipelago between Bergen and Outer Sogn. The you arrive in the Sognefjorden, "The king of the fjords", 204 km long. It is more narrow the further into the fjord you go, and at Balestrand the fjord splits in two parts. |

 Stay overnight at Kviknes Hotel, one of Norways best hotels. The hotel was buildt as far back as 1752, and today's owners have had the hotel since 1877.

 Next day, take the Glaciertrip with boat from Balestrand in Fjærlandsfjord to Fjærland. Visit the Norwegian Glaciercenter, and guided tour to the glaciers Bøyabreen and Supphellebreen. In Fjærland, you can also visit the Norwegian Booktown. If you want to stay in Balestrand, this might tempt; cultural walk, mountain walks with a fantastic fjord view, aquarium visit, farm visit and wine tasting. Or you might just enjoy the silence and the view to the fjord and the mountains from the hotel. |

 Another nigt in Balestrand and you might continue wit the express boat towards Flåm. You pass Vik and Vangsnes, where the famous statue of "Fridtjof den frøkne" guards over the Sognefjord. Further in the fjord, the boat enter the Aurlandsfjord and is soon passing the outer part of the Nærøyfjord. Then it continue to Aurland and Flåm in the innermost part of Aurlandsfjord. Flåm is the starting point of adventures and activities; Kayaking in the fjord, mountain walks, Flåmsbana Railway, the viewpoint "Stegastein" wher you can see Aurland and Aurlandsfjord. Or you can enjoy the culture at Ægir Brewery, Sognefjord's own micro brewery. |

 When in Flåm, you need to experience the Nærøyfjord, one of the worlds most beautiful fjords which is a part of UNESCO World Heritage. From Flåm, every day, you can take the boat trip out the Aurlandsfjord and in the Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. But if you really want to see the fjord and it's surroundings, you should see the fjord from a kayak. Stay a night or two in a tent and walk along the fjord or onto some of the surrounding mountains. |

 In Flåm you can stay the night over in the finest hotel (Fretheim Hotel) or at one of the other night stops (see www.alr.no).
From Gudvangen in the innermost part of Nærøyfjord you can take bus to Voss and train to Bergen or Oslo. Or you can go back to Flåm and take the Flåmsbana railway to Myrdal. This is highly recommended! Flåmsbana Railway is one of Norway's most spectacular railways with it's 20 tunnels and a gradient of 1 to 18 at almost 80% of the railroad. All this in wild and beautiful nature with steep mountains and a countless number of waterfalls falling down from the mountains.
From Myrdal you continue with train to Bergen or Oslo. |
