Hei. Fin side, bra med info. Jeg kan kanskje söke inspirasjon her til mitt lille prosjekt. Jeg kaller det big book of norway, men ser at det er fortsatt ganske litet i forhold till dette

Hi, I love all the info on your site! thanks so much for all the hard work. I am traveling to Norway in mid September and I am having problems deciding/ finding were to go in the Fjords. I am flying to Bergen from Stockholm and I will have 4-5 days before I have to be in Oslo. I am not planning on staying in Bergen, as I really don´t want to be traveling from place to place the whole trip. "Roughing" it out is not really my cup of tea and I am having problems finding true 4-5* accom. I really like the bed/breakfast feel but I am also wondering if there are any spa hotels in the Fjords? I will be traveling with my husband and my sister as well. |
Svar: I would go to www.fjordtours.com and choose one of it's "packages" as a basis. The fine thing here is that they arrange everything for you, and you can have it your special way ...you can stay as many days as you want at the different places you visit.
So I would choose the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour - www.norwaynutshell.com
You take the train from Bergen towards Oslo, but jump off in the middle at Myrdal St. Then you continue down the Flaam Railway www.flaamsbana.no to Flåm www.visitflam.com at the innermost part of Aurlandsfjord www.aurlandsfjord.com
From here you can explore the Aurlandsfjord and Naeroyfjord www.naeroyfjord.com which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Depending if you want to be active in the nature you can walk in the surrounding valleys and mountains, like one of the most beautiful valleys in Norway called Aurlandsdalen www.fjords.com/aurlandsdalen1999.htm or a walk along the Naeroyfjord www.fjords.com/kongevegen2007.htm. It need some private arrangements, contact www.alr.no or me for more information if you are interested in these walks.
Or you can cycle from Finse (the top point at the Bergen Railway at 1222m) down to Flåm, you can rent cycles etc at Flåm.

A nice hotel to stay in is Fretheim Hotel in Flåm: www.fretheim-hotel.no - but there's no SPA in that hotel. Ask Fjordtours if they know about any SPA in the area.

Hello!
We are planning to visit Norway soon and are wondering about transportation. Is it possible to make it one the roads/across the more southerly fjords in late March/early April? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks

Hr/Fru redaktør. Flotte bilder, fin reklame for Noreg og vestlandet og dets natur.
Men.... bør ikke bilder som benyttes i sådan sammenheng da være autentiske og ikke i speilvendt format???
Grunnen til at jeg fremsetter denne påstand, er vikingskipet som er avbildet øverst på hovedsiden.
Nevnte bilde viser et skip med styrevålen på babord (venstre) side. Men namnet styrbord (høgre) kommer jo nettopp av styrevålen sin plassering, nemlig på styrbord side.
For at siden skal fremstå fullt ut troverdig, bør dette forholdet rettes opp og da så snart som mulig (helst igår).

Svar: I would travel with the Hurtigruten (Coastal Odyssey) to Florø and from there take a expressboat to Sognefjord and Balestrand. Balestrand is a perfect starting point for different Fjord Adventures... |
