We filled up the boat with trout, equipment and four men, and soon we arrived Grøttavasshytta. Egil, Ove and I went down to Glutervatnet, Ove stocked the lake with trout before he went back to Isfjorden. Egil and I placed a few fishing nets in the lake in hope of getting trout for dinner next day. Meanwhile, Torbjørn had lit fire in the omn. The hut was warm and the dinner was ready when we came back.
Next day the sun was shining, and we took up the nets in Glutervatnet before we went by boat to the south end of Grøttavatnet. Egil and I walked up to Fleskevatnet (1111m) with some nets before we walked back to the hut. We met a few reindeer on the way. They did not see us, so they came pretty close. Torbjørn brought the boat back, and after a nice walk we met andhad a delicious dinner of trout. Late in the evening, our friend Tore came on a visit. We had a great evening with lot's of good stories, specially from the two elders.

In the mountains around Isfjorden and Åndalsnes, there are many huts which can be used by everybody. At most huts, there are also boats for use. Fishing card can also be bought. You can get information and keys at Hen Fjellstyre in Isfjorden or Grytten Fjellstyre at Brøste in Romsdalen.
