Summerski.

 There are three summerski areas in Norway, all of them are located on glaciers. The biggest is Stryn Summerski, which are located at a glacier arm of Jostedals Glacier. Then we have Galdhøpiggen Summerski, the summerski center with the highest altitude in Norway. It is located at Juvbreen Glacier close to Juvasshytta below Galdhøpiggen, Norways highest mountain. Folgefonna Summerski are located at the north side of Folgefonna Glacier, close to Jondalen in Hardanger.

| Stryn Summerski Center |

 Stryn Summerski Center (1065m-1600m) at Tystigbreen glacier beside the old Strynefjell road is a popular summerskicenter in Norway. Open approximately end of may or beginning of june, depending of how much snow there is on the road. The skicenter have two lifts, one chairlift up to the glacier and one T-Bar lift on the glacier.  At the top of the Glacier you can also try crosscountry-skiing. There are many offpist possibilities in the area, this is very good in june while there is still much snow in the mountains. The skicenter has a total height of fall of 535 metres. You can rent slalom, telemark and snowboard.
 Lots of places to stay in the area, there's always crowded with skiers at Folven Camping in Hjelledalen. You can stay in tent or huts, they also have rooms for rent. At Folven we also have Einetappen, a popular "Afterski-Pub". There's also Hotel and other Camping grounds beside Stryn Lake. | Galdhøpiggen Summerski Center |

 Galdhøpiggen Summerski Center (1840m - 2150m) at Juvbreen glacier below Norway's highest mountain Galdhøpiggen (2469m) is the summerskicenter with the highest altitude in Norway. The slope are 1500m long with a vertical fall of 300m. Possibilities for powder snow all summer. Opens approximately late may, the season last normally until october. The skicenter have one lift, a T-Bar lift at the glacier.
 At the top of the glacier there use to be a mobile lift. Ski and snowboard rental. There are many skiing possibilities in the area, you can cross the glacier and ski to the top of Galdhøpiggen early spring. Later it can be dangerous to cross the glacier, but then there are guiding to the top (glacier equipment must be used, rope etc.) You can stay at Raubergstulen, Juvasshytta, down at the youth hostel and camping at Galdesand or in Lom.

| |
Folgefonna Summerski Center are located at the north side of Folgefonna Glacier, close to Jondalen in Hardanger. Here you have a fantastic mix of fjords, valleys, mountains and glaciers. Hardanger is close to Bergen, the gateway to the fjords!

Stryn Summerski Center
